If a host receives a moving violation ticket during your rental period, it may affect their insurance rates or driving record. The host may ask us to transfer liability to you. We'll work with the ticketing authority to transfer the ticket. In some cases, we may need to share your personal information with the host for notarization and transfer purposes. Rest assured that we keep your personal information confidential in all other circumstances.

Host Responsibilities for Fines and Tickets

Hosts must pay any unpaid traffic violations promptly. Neither ZEVO nor the guest will reimburse any late fees due to delayed payment.

After paying a violation, hosts should submit it as an incidental through their dashboard to request guest reimbursement. Both a paid receipt and the original violation notice are required for processing.

Reporting and Processing of Tickets

If you receive a ticket, inform your host immediately. Due to varying processing times among ticketing agencies, hosts may not receive violation notifications for several months. We allow up to 180 days for ticket processing, plus 5 days for our support team to handle the case. This means you may receive a reimbursement request up to 185 days after your rental period ends.

Prompt reporting of tickets or fines helps streamline the process and maintains transparency. Your cooperation ensures a smooth experience for all ZEVO users.

You're responsible for paying tickets received during your trip and any parking tickets issued within 24 hours after your trip ends.
