- If the low-pressure warning appears, the tire looks low, or you feel vibration, noise, or handling changes: slow down, pull over safely, and stop driving. Do not remove an embedded object.
- If the tire is flat or the vehicle is unsafe to drive, contact Roadside Assistance or ZEVO for transport. Do not attempt a guest repair or continue driving.
- Being close to a tire shop does not override safety. Drive only if the tire remains properly inflated, there are no warning symptoms, and ZEVO, the host, or a qualified tire professional confirms it is safe. Otherwise arrange roadside transport.
- If a tire needs replacement due to damage or low tread, contact your host to coordinate.
- Check tire tread at pick-up. Minimum acceptable tread depth is 4/32 inch. Who covers the cost depends on timing and cause: under 30 days, a wear/tread issue is covered 100% by the host, while road hazard damage (nail, debris, pothole) is the driver's responsibility. After 30 days, cost typically starts at a 50/50 split between host and driver (negotiated) — unless the driver has put over 10,000 miles on the vehicle and the tire blows, in which case it's the driver's responsibility. If a low-pressure warning was already flagged on the vehicle before your booking started, ZEVO covers the cost regardless of cause or mileage.
- You may be asked to rotate the tires. If so, coordinate with your host so they can cover rotation costs. Monitor tire condition, especially during long-term rentals.
- The most cost and time-efficient way to get new tires is ordering online through Discount Tire or Walmart and scheduling an appointment. Your host can help set this up. Find their contact information on your My Booking page at web.zevo.com or on the ZEVO iOS app.
