All ZEVO hosts must maintain primary coverage on their vehicles. You'll need to ensure that you have personal or commercial insurance meeting your state's minimum requirements for liability, comprehensive and collision. They key highlight here is making sure you maintain comprehensive and collision coverage.
When your vehicle is rented through ZEVO, our policy provides what is known as “secondary” coverage for the duration of the rental. When a renter books your car, our system will automatically generate an insurance card in the renter's name. This card will be available for them to download from their booking page and upload to any rideshare platform they work with.

IMPORTANT: Primary coverage is required as a ZEVO Host otherwise claims will be denied. Any damages that occur during a ZEVO rental will not be reflected on your primary coverage policy but due to insurance compliance and regulation you must maintain primary coverage at ALL times. This coverage MUST have comprehensive, collision, and liability coverage.

Obtaining insurance for vehicles used in carsharing can be expensive, and Teqmobility Off-Rent coverages offer affordable solutions. This type of insurance provides peace of mind by ensuring your car is protected during non-rental periods, allowing hosts to maintain comprehensive coverage while keeping costs manageable.
If your vehicle page shows insurance expired because the recorded date is incorrect, correct the insurance-expiration entry to match your current insurance document. Upload the current document through the Host Dashboard and ask Customer Care to confirm eligibility. An expected automatic renewal is not proof of renewed coverage. If the correct date cannot be entered or the restriction remains, contact Customer Care rather than extending the date or altering the document.
Florida hosts: If you are based in Florida and need help confirming your off-rent coverage options, contact ZEVO support for guidance.
