At ZEVO, we're committed to providing the best experience while ensuring the longevity of our vehicles. Following Tesla's recommendations and industry best practices, we've optimized our charging settings to protect battery health while giving you plenty of range for your journey.

While Tesla recommends charging to 80% for daily use, we've set a maximum charge limit of 90% to give you that extra cushion when you need it. For most trips, we recommend charging to 80% - this sweet spot helps maintain optimal battery health while providing ample power for your daily adventures!

Battery Level Warnings and Penalties

To maintain vehicle health and ensure a great experience for all users, we've implemented a system of warnings and penalties for battery drainage:

<aside> At 20% Battery Level: Alert! Your vehicle battery is running low. This is the ideal time to charge - please locate a charging station right away. Note that penalties may apply if the battery drops below 10%.

<aside> At 10% Battery Level: You are operating the vehicle with critically low battery (10% or less). This practice damages battery life. Continued failure to maintain proper charge levels (above 20%) may result in penalties up to $50 or booking termination.

Violation Policy

We track battery State of Charge (SOC) violations when the level drops below 10%. Here's how our penalty system works:

By following these guidelines, you're not just getting the most out of your rental - you're helping us ensure that every ZEVO driver can enjoy the full Tesla experience for years to come. Thank you for being part of our commitment to sustainable transportation!
