Adding Your Tesla to Uber
- Navigate to Vehicles: Tap "Account" → "Vehicles" → "Add Vehicle" at the top right
- Add Vehicle Details:
- Enter your Tesla's complete model name as "Model Y," not just "Y"
- Input year and other required information
 
- Upload Insurance & Registration:
- Texas: Take photo of blue inspection sticker. If you have a red Texas temporary plate refer to Texas Temp Plates 
- Arizona & California: Upload your registration and inspection documents
- ZEVO-provided insurance document (sent via text/email)
 
- Submit for Review: Wait for push notification confirming your vehicle is activated

Note: If Uber is requesting Commercial Insurance & Vehicle for Hire License, this is typically because your previous rental from a past company was registered as Uber Fleet or Uber Black. To resolve this issue, you will need to: Switch from Uber Fleet/Black

- Navigate to "Vehicles and Devices" → "Your Vehicles" → "+" at the top right
- Add Vehicle Details:
- Enter your Tesla's complete model name (e.g., "Model Y," not just "Y")
- Input year and other required information
- Mark the vehicle as Personal
 
- Upload Required Documents:
- Texas: Take photo of blue inspection sticker. If you have a red Texas temporary plate refer to Texas Temp Plates 
- Arizona & California: Upload your registration and inspection documents
- ZEVO-provided insurance document (sent via text/email)
 
- Wait for Approval: Lyft will review and approve your vehicle within 24 hours
